This essay is examined from a point of view, a reading, what the works of Pieter Bruegel can contribute to the old understanding of the great transformation that came about in the XVI, XVII centuries in the western hemisphere. The importance of the plastic representation, the images of the compression and meaning of the modern world, of the machine and of the mechanical conception of the world calls our attention. The construction of the Babel Tower is without doubt, an image of a time, an image of the modern world.
