This article presents a reflection regarding the impact of technology in educational settings, with an analysis from different scenarios and considering the position of the different actors (teachers, students, groups, institutions, etc.) who participate in the educational process. This, with the intention of calling attention for not to continue increasing the existing digital gap that separates the Latin American countries from
the ones that are called first world countries, stating a number of ideas and proposing a few solutions
