The present work of degree contains the process carried out for the development of a functional prototype of the multimedia information management system of the poultry production for one of the sheds of the company Agricol S.A. which served as a case study, which is addressed to the employees of the the roles of shedsman, production manager and others who can be used as may have roles similar to these. This system allows the management of calls and delivery of information to the users of the poultry farm, allowing these a correct flow of information. For the development of the system, a supported RUP methodology was implemented. by the quantitative methodology and the adaptation of the methodology focused on the user adopted in the multimedia systems design processes in the an autonomous university of the West, which is composed of four stages, which are involve the current diagnosis, the standardization of the processes, the multimedia design proposal and evaluation of the functional prototype. Where definition of the strategy, description and analysis of the processes were carried out from the poultry context of egg production to generating a concept of solution to the problem. A study of the work is carried out from the public objective and its current method, then critical variables are identified. in relation to productivity and quality. The following were also obtained functional and non-functional requirements for the system prototype multimedia. In the later stages, the design of the multimedia system was carried out, which involved proposing a software architecture and the selection of tools for the development of each layer of the proposed architecture, where they were carried out user interface designs, defined the services to be implemented, and the information architecture and relational database model. Afterwards, the software was deployed for testing functional. A qualitative evaluation of the current method was also carried out. and the proposed one, where the system was evaluated from the interpretation of the results in the deployment of the prototype. Finally, the considerations and recommendations for the future implementation of the system inside a poultry shed, in this case the company that served the purpose. object of study
